# Actively Participating in the Protocol ## Genesis Pool You can participate in multiple ways. The first way to participate will be in our Genesis Staking pool. This is how you can acquire tokens for free and is the best way to start (it is only available from April 15th to April 19th). Proof of stake genesis is the launch of a new token where you do not have to give up your tokens, currency, or trade something of value for $GLDM tokens. There is no seed round, pre-sale, or white-list in our protocol, genesis is a way for everyone to participate fairly without the worry of risking capital. The protocol offers these tokens for free because it wants participants to use them within our ecosystem after genesis. $GLDM is emitted proportionally to stakers over the course of 4 days. Genesis pools allow you to stake tokens, of which some you might already be holding. To enter the genesis pools there will be a 0.5% fee on any deposit, half of which is going to be donated to an official Ukraine blockchain wallet and half of which will go to the dev team staffing this innovative genesis launch. After genesis, there will be no more fees. A major part of why we offer genesis pools is to allow anyone to participate and earn $GLDM tokens to then use them in our ecosystem when these pools are over and our main VAULT pools open. During this time when genesis ends and the emissions of $SGLDM begin, liquidity will be extremely low and the price will be volatile, making it almost impossible to sell your earned $GLDM. It is essentially better to create an LP or single stake for these tokens, rather than try to get rid of them. Also, GoldMint will provide a form of "dividends" to $GLDM LP stakers after the 2-year emissions of $SGLDM are over. You will be able to earn yield on your LP tokens even after our protocol stops emitting its share token. Holding GoldMint tokens till the end of emissions will be beneficial to participants. ## Additional Info We will accept staking of $PAXG, $WETH, $stETH, $USDC, Curve 3pool and $gOHM for the Genesis Launch. You stake your tokens and get rewards based on your share of each staking pool. For example, let’s say you have 1 ETH staked in a pool with 9 other ETH in it (10 total).
